I realize it's been forever since I uploaded anything, but Real Life's been busy!
On July 6, 2008, I had the pleasure of seeing Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN. I was literally stage-side and at the beginning of the show, I passed him a small booklet of my cartoons as an early birthday gift. He laughed and picked at me about it, but he had a good look at what I gave him. The expression on his face--that GRIN!--put me on Cloud 9 and frankly, I'm still there. This is one of the pictures included in the little booklet. Originally sketched in pencil, then inked with Copic pens and colored in PhotoShop. Artwork (c) *Smitkins Help! We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization. Open to all mediums. Man, I would have KILLED to see Ringo's reaction to your drawings. I'd faint right then and there if I did that and Ringo expressed his enjoyment for my pictures like he did yours. I mean, to have a BEATLE like your art. That'd be the best compliment I could receive EVER. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN THOUGH, because I fail at drawing anything worth giving to a Beatle :c
