I realize it's been forever since I uploaded anything, but Real Life's been busy!

On July 6, 2008, I had the pleasure of seeing Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN. I was literally stage-side and at the beginning of the show, I passed him a small booklet of my cartoons as an early birthday gift.

He laughed and picked at me about it, but he had a good look at what I gave him. The expression on his face--that GRIN!--put me on Cloud 9 and frankly, I'm still there.

This is one of the pictures included in the little booklet.

Originally sketched in pencil, then inked with Copic pens and colored in PhotoShop.

O Smitty! You're killing me with the cute, sister. Lily told me about your Ringo encounter and I've been dying to hear more about it. He was always my favorite, since I was a little girl. He's just such a swell guy, so darned NICE. I bet he was pure sunshine. You totally made his birthday special, you know. I bet he'll be loving it forever.

good stuff ;) and I must say you are quite the lucky person, I never have and probably never will meet a Beatle in my lifetime. Let alone go to a concert.
